Comail
Cooperative email on atproto. I’m building a shared relay and personal inboxes toward a member-owned co-op.
Seattle / Software engineer
I’m Scott, a software engineer and lifelong nerd in Seattle. I founded Comail and lead it full time, building cooperative email on atproto toward a member-owned co-op. For eight years I’ve shipped software for smart TVs, phones, web browsers, and the cloud.
01 / Work
I’m a full-stack generalist with a background in distributed systems at Amazon. I’m comfortable with data models, services, infrastructure, and product interfaces. I’m open to full-time, part-time, contract, and one-off software work.

A time-helix explorer for atproto posts, profiles, feeds, and Tangled repositories.
03 / Writing
What if another operating system isn't the solution to anything at all? What if device-level identity could tie into existing systems to help pull users out of walled gardens, rather than creating new gardens?
What if an Atmosphere account could handle email, groupware, and device-level identity without putting Google or Apple at the center?
Presented this work to the W3C FedID CGA practical build-and-deploy walkthrough for Kotlin/Wasm projects.
